すべてのはじまりは、小学3年生のときに出会った一冊の本。『母と子で見る広島・長崎』（朝日新聞企画部）に収められた報道写真に心を撃たれた。

東京綜合写真専門学校で学ぶ中、 Kirby Fukunaga とのHawaiiでの出会いが転機となる。

“波”を通して自然と人の営みを映し出すサーフィンフォトグラファーという世界に心を奪われる。

カメラを手に、旅に出る。

光と影、自然と波、人とその“瞬間”を追いかけるように。マガジンハウスで編集の現場を知り、マリン企画では専属カメラマンとして現場の最前線に立った。

Hawaiiの海に通い続けて20年以上。そこで感じたのは、“Peace”“Natural”“ALOHA”という目に見えないエネルギー。

それは自然だけでなく、人の中にも確かにあると信じている。

2003年よりフリーランスに。

風景にも人にも、“そこにあるままの美しさ”を見つけ、そっとすくい上げるようにシャッターを切り続けている。

Born in Japan, I discovered the power of photography as a child through a photojournalistic book on Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

That early encounter sparked a lifelong passion for capturing truth through the lens.

While studying at Tokyo College of Photography, I met surf photographer Kirby Fukunaga—an encounter that opened my eyes to a new form of storytelling, where ocean, light, and human spirit meet.

After gaining experience at Magazine House and working as a staff photographer for Marine Planning, I found my voice photographing surf culture and nature’s quiet intensity, especially during my 20+ years of returning to Hawaii.

Since becoming a freelance photographer in 2003, I’ve continued to explore the themes of Peace, Natural, and ALOHA, capturing the unspoken beauty that resides in both landscapes and people.
